Unwrapping the Truth: Plastic in Our Food

Hey there fellow food enthusiasts! As a co-leader of our Oakwood’s culinary club, I've always been captivated by all of the magic that happens in the kitchen. However, recently, I came across a much less appetizing topic that we all need to talk about; plastic in our food. It's alarming to think about how something as essential as the food we consume may have hidden layers of plastic which impacts both our health and the environment. This rediscovery has sparked my curiosity, but also my concern, leading me to investigate deeper into this issue and share what I have found, with you.

In the culinary world, where presentation and taste are paramount, it's disconcerting to realize that the very essence of what we cook and savor might be tainted by plastic contamination. As an 11th grader navigating the complexities of adolescence, the last thing I want is for my peers and me to be unknowingly ingesting harmful substances. Through our culinary club, I hope to raise awareness about this issue and encourage mindful consumption.
